Family Background:

His father was Fred V Chase Koch, His mother was Clementine Mary. Koch has 4 siblings including him, David Koch, Bill Koch and Frederick Koch. His grandfather Harry Koch, Who was Dutch immigrant and settle in Texas.

Personal Life:

Koch married to his wife Liz, In 1972. They have two children. Chase Koch and Elizabeth Koch. Koch is a prostate cancer survivor.


Koch completed his study at prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology and also completed his graduation from the same institute in 1960. He received his Bachelor of science degree in General engineering and earned Master of Science in Chemical and Mechanical Engineering.


After completed his study, Koch started work with Arthur D. Little, Inc. In 1961, He left his job and move with his father for Family business, Rock Island Oil & Refining Company. After a year, He became the president of Business. In 1982, He became the director of the Koch Industries and served as the director of other corporations such as paper and pulp products, Georgia-Pacific LLC and Entrust Financial corporation. Under Charle Koch’s leadership, The Koch industry saw unpredictable increment with 60 countries around the world and more than 100,000 employs. He is co-owner, chairman, and CEO  of the Koch Industrie. In February 2014, Koch ranked 9th richest person in the world by the Human Report. He is also the member of the Mont Pelerin society. Koch helped many startup companies through his financial support and guidance such as Bill Right Institute, The Institute for Human studies, Cato Institue and other institutes.
