Chris Pratt is an American actor, who gained international fame with his stellar performances in films like ‘The Lego Movie’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and ‘Jurassic World’ born on 21 June 1979, In Virginia, Minnesota, U.S.

Family Background:

He is the son of Daniel Clifton Pratt and his wife Kathleen Louise. His father worked in mining and later remodeling houses, while his mother worked at Safeway at Supermarket.

Personal Life:

In 2007, He met Actress Anna Faris on the set of “Take Me Home Tonight”, they engaged in the following year in 2008. On 9 July 2009,  they got married. In August 2012, They welcomed their first child son, Jack.


He gained his education from the local school. While studying, he showed his interest in wrestling and stood fifth in the High school state wrestling tournament. Later he attended the community college for the short time.


He took up odd jobs for a living and had been even homeless for a while. At the age of 19, Pratt had been waiting tables at the restaurant in Maui. At that time he got noticed by actress and director Rae Dawn Chong. She cast him in her directorial debut, the short horror film Cursed Part 3. Later he appeared as a guest role in the television series ‘The Huntress’ in 2001. In 2002, He received his first regular television role as Harold Brighton ‘Bright’ Abbott on the series ‘Everwood.’ Lasting for 89 episodes, the series ended in 2006. While working in ‘Everwood’, Pratt also did a couple of films such as ‘The Extreme Team’ and ‘Strangers with Candy’. He did the television film, ‘Paths of Destruction’ as well, capping the role of Nathan McCain. The year 2009 had been a busy one for Pratt in terms of his career. Three of his films were slated for release: ‘Brides War’, ‘Deep in the Valley’ and ‘Jennifer’s Body’. Additionally, he bagged a role as Andy Dwyer on the NBC comedy series ‘Parks and Recreation’. Originally meant to be a temporary character, Andy was loved so much by the audience that he had been made a series regular. ‘Parks and Recreation’ ran until 2015. He soon followed it up with the popular and critically acclaimed role of Peter Quill – Star-Lord for the film ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, also in 2014.
