Elizabeth Warren is an American politician and academic serving as the senior United States Senator since 2013, born on June 22, 1949, In Oklahoma, U.S.

Family Background:

She is born to Donald Jones Herring and Pauline Herring. She has three older brothers. Her mother had started working as a saleswoman in a department store to earn for the family.

Personal Life:

In 1968, She married Jim Warren, a computer engineer, and NASA mathematician. They have two children, Amelia and Alexander. They divorced in 1978. In 1980, She married Bruce Mann. They currently live in Cambridge, Massachusetts.


She has started her school education from Northwest Classen High School.  She had received the scholarship to George Washington University. but she had left university and married. In 1970, She had enrolled in the University of Houston and graduated with a degree in Science specializing in speech pathology and audiology.


From 1977 to 1978, Elizabeth Warren had begun her academic career at Rutgers University and had been a lecturer there. She later shifted to University of Houston Law Center, where she found the role of Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. She worked there from 1978 to 1983. She later taught at the University of Texas School of Law from 1983 to 1987. In 1987, She had joined the University of Pennsylvania Law School and became William A Schnader Professor of Commercial Law. In 1992, She had taught at Harvard Law School as a visiting professor. She had joined Harvard Law School as Leo Gottlieb Professor of Law, in 1995.

Warren confessed that she voted for the Republic party and supported them for many years until 1995 when she had changed to favor the Democrats. She has reported that she votes for both parties and believes no single party should remain in power for long. In 2012, She had been appointed a chair on the Senate Banking Committee, In January 2013, she had been sworn into the committee by Joe Biden. Her position had allowed her to regularly question banks and banking regulators. In 2013, She had written to the Justice Department, the Federal Reserve, and Securities and Exchange Commission about their apparent bias in ignorance violations by major banks. She started the Bank on Student Loans Fairness Act, Which granted a lower rate of interest for students borrowing money. Her foresight had been commended by Bernie Sanders
