George Soros who is the Hungarian-American investor, and known as world’s most successful inventors, born on 12 August 1930, In Budapest, Hungary.
He is the son of Tivadar Soros and his wife Elizabeth Soros. His father was Lawyer. He had one brother Paul Soros. He comes from the Jewish family.
He married three times and divorced twice. In 1960, He married Annaliese Witschak. The couple had three children. They divorced in 1983. In 1983, He married Susan Weber. She was 25-years younger than him. They had two children. They divorced in 2005. On 21 September 2013, He married Tamiko Bolton.
In 1947, He went England and enrolled in the London School of Economics and became the student of Philosopher Karl Popper. In 1951, He received the Bachelor of Science in Philosophy and earned Master degree in 1954 from the London School of Economics.
After completed his graduation, He had to difficult for found work. He worked as traveling salesman for fancy goods wholesaler selling to retailers. In 1954, He started his financial career at merchant bank Singer & Friedlander of London, where he worked as a clerk and after sometimes he moved to the arbitrage department. In 1956, He moved to New York City, He worked for F.M Meyer as an arbitrage trader till 1959. Later he worked as Financial Analyst for Wertheim & Co till 1963. In 1963, He had appointed vice president of Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder. He held this position till 1973. He started his philanthropic activities in the 1970s. His foundation, Soros Foundation operates in more than 60 countries across the world. In 1973, He founded the Quantum Group of Fund in the partnership with Jim Rogers. He had an author or co-author of several books on Financial and some political issues like ‘Open Society: Reforming Global Capitalism’, and ‘Age of Fallibility: Consequences of the War on Terror’.
