Jack Lord, Who was an American Television and film actor born on 30 December 1920, In Brooklyn, New York, U.S.

Family Background:

He was the son of Iris-American parents, His father William Lawrence Ryan who was a steamship company executive. He had four siblings, Robert Ryan, Thomas Ryan, William Ryan, and Josephine Ryan.

Personal Life:

Lord had married twice in his life. He first married Anne Willard, They had one son, Who had been killed in an accident at the age of 13. They had They divorced in 1947. On January 17, 1949, Lord married Marie de Narde was a fashion designer.


Lord had been educated at St. Benedict Joseph Labre School and John Adams High School in Ozone Park and later attended the  United States Merchant Marine Academy in New London. He had attended the New York University and received the Fine Arts degree.  


Lord had to receive acting training from Sanford Meisner at the neighborhood playhouse. His Broadway debut had been as a Slim Murphy in Horton Foote’s. for that Lord won the Theatre World Award. In 1949, He had played his commercial film role in the film, ‘The Red Menace’ which was an anti-Communist production. In 1950, He was an associate producer in his film ‘Cry Murder’. In 1957 He appeared in the ‘Williamsburg: the Story of a Patriot’ film. In the next year 1958, He had co-starred in the ‘ God’s Little Acre’. Lord had been the first actor who played character Felix Leiter in the ‘James Bond’ film series. In 1965, He had appeared in the second season of ’12 O’Clock High’. In 1968, He had starred in his longest and best role as a Detective Steve Garrett in ‘Hawaii Five-O’.

After his series complete in 1980, He had kept a low profile. On January 21, 1998, At the age of 77, He died of congestive heart failure at his home in Honolulu.
