Kader Khan who was an Afghan-born Indian-Canadian film actor, screenwriter, comedian, and director born in 1937, In Kabul, Afghanistan.
He was the son of Abdul Rahman Khan and Iqbal Begum. He had three brothers named, Shams Rehman, Fazal Rehman, and Habib Rehman.
In the mid-1970s, He had married Hajra Khan, a Homemaker. She is a low profile person and doesn’t make any public appearances. Khan has three sons, Sarfaraz Khan, Shahnawaz Khan, and a third son Quddus in Canada. Sarfaraz Khan acted in several movies like “Tere Naam”, and “Wanted”.
He had got enrolled in school and later did his graduation from Ismail Yusuf College affiliated to Mumbai University, Ten Bombay University from 1970 till 1975, He had worked as a professor and had taught mathematics at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Byculla.
He had made his debut film “Daag”, starring Rajesh Khanna in the main lead role, wherein Khan played the supporting role as an advocate. He finally worked as supporting the artist with roles in Dil Diwana, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar and Mr.Natwarlal. He had also started getting long roles as helping actor after 1984 with films like Masterji, Dharm Adhikari, Nasihat, Dosti Dushmani, Ghar Sansar, Loha, Insaniyat Ke Dushman, Insaaf Ki Pukar, Khudgarz, Sherni, Khoon Bhari Maang, Sone Pe Suhaaga, Vardi. From 1988, there were films written with him in the main lead like Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharni, Biwi Ho Toh Aisi, Ghar Ho Toh Aisa, Hum Hain Kamaal Ke, Baap Numbari Beta Dus Numbari. His first attempt at comedy had been with the film Himmatwala and Aaj Ka Daur. He started doing main comedy roles from 1989 onwards, with films like Sikka, Kishen Kanhaiya, Hum, Ghar Parivar, Bol Radha Bol and continued through the nineties with comedy roles in Aankhen, Taqdeerwala, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Dulhe Raja, Coolie No.1, Saajan Chale Sasural, Sooryavansham, Judaai, Aunty No.1 and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Raja Babu, Khud-Daar, Chote Sarkar, Judaai, Gharwali Baharwali, Hero Hindustani, Sirf Tum, Anari No.1. Even in the early 2000s, He had attempted varied roles with films like Akhiyon Se Goli Maare, Chalo Ishq Ladaaye, Suno Sasurjee, Yeh Hai Jalwa, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. His work as a comedian was notable in “Himmatwala”, “Aankhen” and “Coolie No.1”. He was one of the Indian Actor who played every role like Comedian role, Villain role, Romantic role, and other roles. He had also written many film dialogues for many film and film actors including Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan. Kader Khan had written 22 films for Amitabh Bachchan including Amar Akbar Anthony, Sharaabi, Lawaaris, Satte Pe Satta, and Agneepath. Kader Khan had also acted and wrote a number of 80s South Indian.
Khan had been suffering from supranuclear palsy, a degenerative disease. He had been Hospitalized in Canada. On 31st December 2018, His Son Sarfaraz Khan confirmed that his father had died.
