Kapil Sharma who is an Indian stand-up comedian, television presenter, actor, and producer born on 2nd April 1981, In Punjab, India.

Family Background:

He is the son of Jeetendra Kumar Punj and his wife Janak Rani. His father was head constable in Amritsar Police. His father died in 2004 due to cancer. He has one brother Ashok Sharma and one sister Pooja Pawan Devgan.

Personal Life:

On 12 December 2018, He married Ginni Chatrath at Jalandhar, Punjab.

Education:

He completed his school education at Shri Ram Ashram Sen. Sec. school Amritsar. Later He studied at the Hindu college in Amritsar, Punjab.

Career:

In 2007, After winning the comedy reality show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge”, He had a rise to a fame. He won a cash prize of INR Rs 10 lakh. Later he participated in “Comedy Circus” on Sony Channel and also went on the win to the season six of the show. He also hosted some reality shows such as ” Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 6″, comedy show “Chhote Miyan”. In 2008, He also appeared as a contestant in the show ” Ustaadon Ka Ustaad”.  In 2013, Kapil released his own comedy show “Comedy Nights with Kapil” under his production K9 on Colors channel. During the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, He had been named the Brand Ambassador by the Delhi Election Commission. In 2015, He co-hosts the 60th Filmfare Awards along with Karan Johar. Kapil also gives her guest appearance on “The Anupam Kher Show”, Indian television game show “Kaun Banega Crorepati eighth season”, In 2017, Also appeared in “Koffee with Karan”. In 2015, Kapil made his Bollywood film debut as a male lead in the movie”Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon”, a romantic comedy movie. After ending of “Comedy Nights with Kapil” he signed a contract with Sony Tv for a new show “The Kapil Sharma Show”. The Kapil Sharma Show started airing on 23 April 2016 and had received a positive response from the viewers. In 2017, His second movie “Firangi” released on 1 December 2017, which was a historical drama film set in the year 1920. His last show was launched on 25 March 2018 stating as Family Time With Kapil Sharma which had ended on 1 April after only 3 episodes. In 2018, He produced a Punjabi movie named Son of Manjeet Singh which had been released on 12 October 2018. He is also known for his efforts in promoting Animal rights. Kapil had been nominated for the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
