Family Background:

He is born to Robert Williams and Laurie Williams. He had two elder half brothers. His father had worked as a Senior executive at Ford Motor Company while his mother had been a former model. He had been of mixed ancestry.

Personal Life:

He married thrice. In 1978, He married Valerie Velardi, with her, had one son. In 1989, He married Marsha Garces. They have two children. 2011, He married graphic designer Susan Schneider.

Education:

As a teenager, He had attended Redwood High School from where He had completed his graduation in 1969. He had been a popular student in school, always telling jokes and making others laugh. In 1973, He had won the full scholarship to attend the esteemed Juilliard School in New York City.

Career:

He had begun his career performing stand up comedy shows during the 1970s. While he had been performing at the Comedy Club in Los Angeles in 1977, He had spotted by the TV producer George Schlatter who asked him to appear on a revival of his ‘Laugh-In’ show. In 1979, He had given a live comedy show at the Copacabana in New York, ‘Reality… What a Concept’ the recording of which won him a Grammy Award. In 1989, He had worked in the drama film named ‘Dead Poets Society’ which had been about the story of an English teacher in a conservative academy who had inspired his students by teaching them poetry. The movie was a huge hit. The year 1997 had been a good one for him as he got the opportunity to star in the brilliant movie, ‘Good Will Hunting’ in which he plays the role of a therapist who counsels a troubled yet hugely capable young man. The success of his career extended well into the new millennium where he had performed in movies such as ‘One Hour Photo’ in 2002, ‘Robots’ in 2005, ‘License to Wed’ in 2007, and ‘Old Dogs’ in 2009.

He died suddenly in 2014, some of his movies like ‘Merry Friggin’ Christmas’ and ‘Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb’ were scheduled for posthumous release.
