She is born to Adele, an ophthalmologist, and Joel Sandberg. She is the oldest of three children of her parents. Her mother is a college teacher.
In 1993, She married Brian Kraff but they divorced one year later. In 2004, She married Dave Goldberg, Who had been at the time an executive with Yahoo! and later became the CEO of SurveyMonkey. On May 1, 2015, It had been notified that her husband died due to a head injury that he had provided while vacationing in Mexico.
