Dick Cheney is an American politician and had served as 46th Vice President of the United States born on 30 January 1941, In Lincoln, Nebraska, U.S.

Family Background:

He is the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and his wife Marjorie Dickey.

Personal life:

In 1964, He had married  Lynne Vincent. He knows her since the age of 14. The couple had two children, Elizabeth and Mar, and seven grandchildren.

Education:

He had started his school education at Calvert Elementary School. After moving Wyoming, He joined Natrona County High school. He had attended the Yale University and then had attended the University of Wyoming to earned B.A and M.A in political science.

Career:

In 1969, He had started serving as an intern congressman, on the following year, He also worked for Donald Rumsfeld. During 1971 to 1975, He held a number of positions like White House Staff Assistant and the Deputy Assistant to the President. Then He had been made assistant to the president under Gerald Ford. He had been allocated the position of campaign manager for 1976 presidential campaigns. From 1978 to 1989 he had been continuously elected to represent Wyoming in the U.S. House of Representatives. During that time he had been elected as the chairman of the Republican Policy Committee and had also been elected to House Republican Conference as a chairman. He had played an important role during the Gulf war from 1990-1991. In 1993, After Bill Clinton come to power, He had joined the American Enterprise Institute, quitting the department of security. In 1995, He joined the “Halliburton” as the chairman of the board and Chief Executive Officer. In 2000, He had headed the Vice-Presidential Search Committee for the Governor of Texas at that time, George W. Bush. On 29 June 2002, He served as the acting president of the United State.
